Kim Delaney was an American actor from the United States. Her most well-known role is for her character, the detective Diane Russell, in the ABC drama series NYPD Blue. For this she received an Emmy Award. Her other credits include her role on the drama show All My Children Philly CSI: Miami as well as Army Wives. Delaney was the child of an executive at the United Auto Workers who was also a mother. Delaney has four older brothers. When she was a kid, Delaney dreamed about becoming an official reporter for the court. The first time she began modeling was in highschool and eventually gained commercials when she moved to New York. She was cast as a young innocent in 1981's soap opera All My Children. Delaney appeared in a number of TV movies, film and dramas after that. The way she lives her life, unlike her professional has not been successful and happy. The actress, who is talented and stunning, has had to battle addiction to alcohol prior to that. Her marriages have also ended in failure twice. In 2005, she lost custody over her only son.
